Welcome to Arabica Coffee Beans .net

Why did I start a site about arabica coffee beans? I like coffee. Not just any coffee mind you, but good coffee. Given a choice between gourmet artisan microroasted coffee or mass produced coffee I’ll choose the gourmet micro roasted coffee every time. If micro-roast isn’t available, I’ll likely pass on coffee altogether. It’s like beer. Give me a good microbrew or imported Belgian or German beer and I’m a happy camper. Am I a snob, I don’t think so. But I can taste and appreciate the difference between hand roasted/brewed beverages and mass produced varieties. If you’re gonna drink you might as well drink good stuff.

But why arabica? Arabica (coffea arabica) is the coffee bean of coffee beans. It accounts for about 80% of all coffee cultivated in the world. Yet only a small percentage of that makes it to the market. Because of the stringent selection process (hand selection to be exact) only the best arabica beans make it to the roasters. It’s then up to the roasters to work their magic and craft a coffee that brings out the individual nuances of that particular bean crop. Not sure what that means? Stick around and you’ll find out. We’ll geek out over coffee.

 Cheers,

Cool Beans

  1. Welcome to Blog-O-Mania! Good first effort and we will watch to see how things develop. I am like you in that I have developed an intense dislike of "off-the-shelf" commercial coffees.

I also roast my own beans at home, but two of the most outstanding Roasters I’ve used are Paradise Roasters (http://www.paradiseroasters.com) and King David Roasters (http://www.kingdavidcoffee.com). Try any of their medium to darker roasts and you will be in heaven!
